What is the Chinese equivalent of NiCr 40/20 or Ni40Cr20?

GB Cr20Ni35. NiCr 40/20 has Ni ≥37.0%, Cr 18–22%, Si 1.8–3.0% and resistivity ≈1.05 μΩ·m; GB Cr20Ni35 has Ni 34.0–37.0%, Cr 18.0–21.0%, Si 1.00–3.00% and resistivity 1.04 μΩ·m. The two overlap across the composition range.

Is there a grade called Cr20Ni40 in the Chinese standard?

No. GB/T 1234 does not define Cr20Ni40. Some Chinese suppliers use it as a commercial name, but the standardised grade is Cr20Ni35.

Does NiCr 40/20 have an ASTM or DIN number?

No. It has no ASTM, UNS, Werkstoff or DIN designation — it is an industry trade grade.

Can NiCr 40/20 be used in a sulphur-bearing atmosphere?

No. All nickel-chromium grades are unsuitable in sulphur atmospheres. Use FeCrAl instead.

Pure Nickel Wire (Ni200 / Ni201 / N4 / N6)

Short answer: we supply pure nickel wire in Ni200, Ni201, N4 and N6, diameter φ0.03 - φ10 mm, bright annealed, in coils or straight-cut lengths.

Wire, rod or straight-cut — worth agreeing in writing
In the trade, round pure nickel up to about φ8 mm is normally called wire, and above that rod. We can produce up to φ10 mm as drawn and straightened wire, but if your drawing says "φ20 mm wire" that is physically a rod (about 2.8 kg per metre) and nobody can supply it as wire. If the distinction matters on your drawing, lock it down at enquiry stage — it costs nothing now and prevents a delivery dispute later.

Ni200 and Ni201 differ mainly in carbon content, which governs how the material behaves above about 300 °C. For electrochemical or battery work at moderate temperature, Ni200 is the usual choice. For higher-temperature or welded assemblies, ask for Ni201.

Basis: density 8.9 g/cm³. For a 1 m straight-cut at φ10 mm expect roughly 0.7 kg per piece.

5. Please confirm these 4 points before ordering

Grade — Ni200 or Ni201. If your application is electrochemical and runs below 300 °C, Ni200 is normally sufficient.
Form — coil, spool or straight-cut. Straight-cut adds a straightening operation and a length tolerance.
Diameter and tolerance — and whether the tolerance is point-to-point or a lot average.
Certificate — state up front whether you need a mill certificate with composition per heat number. We issue it as standard, but say so on the enquiry and it goes into the quotation.
